You don't need an expensive camera, fancy equipment, or complicated software to make a great photo. And Apple wants to prove that with its 2022 Shot on iPhone Challenge.
Through Feb. 16, iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max users are invited to submit images taken on their handset with a minimum focus distance of 2 centimeters.
In celebration of macro photography, Apple wants you to share your favorite snaps on Instagram, Twitter, or Weibo with the hashtags #ShotOniPhone and #iPhoneMacroChallenge, alongside the handset model in your caption. Or, email high-resolution images to [email protected] using the file format "firstname_lastname_macro_phonemodel" and subject like "Shot on iPhone Macro Challenge Submission."
Snapshots may be pulled straight from the mobile camera, or modified through Apple's editing tools or third-party software. Submissions close at 11:59 p.m. PST on Feb. 16, 2022. You must be 18 years or older to participate. The chosen images, unveiled in April, will be featured online and on Apple's social media accounts. They may also appear in digital campaigns, Apple Store locations, billboards, or in a public photo exhibition. There is, however, no monetary prize.
