Apple Mac Studio and Studio Display have been launched in India! Alongside the new iPhone SE and the iPad Air M1, Apple also announced the Mac Studio and Studio Display in India. These come across as the successor to the Mac Pro desktop setup, and can be equipped two of Apple’s most powerful chips – M1 Max and M1 Ultra. Apple also brings in its Studio Display to India along with updated accessories range for these devices.
If you want to enquire about the prices, here you go. The Mac Studio starts at Rs. 189,900 but you get this variant with the M1 Max chip that has a 10-core CPU. The Mac Studio with M1 Ultra chip that has its 20-core GPU comes in at a price of Rs. 3,89,900.
On the other hand, the Studio Display is available at a price of Rs. 159,900. The Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Numeric Keypad costs Rs. 19,500 while the Magic Trackpad costs Rs. 14,500. The Magic Mouse costs Rs. 9,500 and is also available in the new silver-and-black colour options.
The Mac Studio takes inspiration from the Mac Mini for its design. “Built from a single aluminium extrusion with a square footprint of just 7.7 inches and a height of only 3.7 inches, Mac Studio takes up very little space and fits perfectly under most displays,” says Apple.
The biggest highlight here is the M1 Ultra chip, which Apple says is much faster than the Intel processors powering the Mac Pro and 27-inch iMac. The M1 Ultra has up to 3.8x faster CPU performance than the Intel-based 27-inch iMac with 10-core processor.
