Apple Intelligence Is Now Open For All, As Apple Removes Region Lock To US In Latest Betas
Apple released the third developer beta of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS 15.1, with a handful of new changes, most of which revolve around Apple Intelligence. Apple has spent a lot of time perfecting the technology since its initial announcement at WWDC, but the service was restricted to the US audience. The latest beta builds suggest that Apple Intelligence will not be locked to the US, but the US English language is still a requirement.
Apple no longer requires you to change your region if you want to use Apple Intelligence outside of the US
It was noted in the initial betas that users had to change the Siri language to US English and change their region to access the Apple Intelligence feature outside of the United States. However, it appears that Apple is planning to expand the service with the release of iOS 18.1, which will be a few weeks after the company has officially released iOS 18 to the public.

As per information spotted by 9to5mac, Apple has changed the requirement to access Apple Intelligence outside of the US, which no longer requires you to change your region. This means that all users who reside outside of the United States can access and join the Apple Intelligence waitlist, but they have to ensure that the language they have selected is US English.
However, you have to note that Apple Intelligence will still not be available in China, and users in the EU must be logged in through a US App Store ID. While it is a welcome addition, it remains to be seen if this is the final plan of the company. This means that the company could always revert back to the original settings with a subsequent beta build. Possibly, the company aims to increase the number of developers testing Apple Intelligence service, which would give it a boost for a stable release in October.
