After what seems a very long wait Antstream Arcade will finally launch on PlayStation consoles today. It’s also the biggest release on the PSN ever, at least in terms of games, as Antstream has over 1,300 titles ready for you to play.
The service includes titles early systems like the Atari 2600 and Commodore 64, to Arcade classics and games from SNES, Megadrive, and PlayStation One, and even features classic and new arcade games. Personally I am looking forward to getting back to Xenon II on the Amiga – fun fact, a very young me featured on the advert for Xenon II and the Bitmap Brothers used to send me Christmas cards!
There are so many games I want to try out again: Midnight Resistance, Pinball Dreams, and Project X on the Amiga, Rolling Thunder and Operation Wolf from the arcades, California Games on the Atari Lynx, and Jack The Nipper and Monty on the Run on ZX Spectrum. Heaven!
Antstream also includes 600 mini game challenges, global tournaments, leader boards, achievements and more.
Antstream Arcade is already available on PC and Xbox, you can subscribe for a year for £39.99, or splash out for £99.99 which gives you a lifetime subscription.
