The arch nemeses of Marvel Comics hero Ant-Man have teamed up to take him down, and they have the worst team-up name in Marvel's long history. Villain team-ups are nothing new in comics. Whether it's in Marvel or DC, villains constantly find themselves teaming up to take down their greatest foes in the hopes of combined forces being able to overcome the strength of the heroes they hate. Whether it's the Legion of Doom in DC or the Sinister Six in Marvel, villain team-ups are time-honored tradition. However, this doesn't mean that they all come up with the best names.
In Ant-Man #1 by Al Ewing and Tom Reilly, Ant-Man comes across a mysterious man, who eventually is revealed to be a future Ant-Man that's so meta he would end Deadpool's reign. He then shocks the tiny hero by letting him know that he knows his secret identity. Ant-Man tries to follow him after he leaves as soon as he arrived, but he loses the man in the crowd. Amidst his confusion, he's caught off-guard by a mysterious liquid that paralyzes him. He's then kidnapped and dragged to the lair of a group of his biggest foes...who have the worst team-up name in Marvel history.

The criminals that have held Ant-Man hostage as they plot his demise are The Protector, Trago, The Window Washer and Time Master. Together, the villains form to make...the Ant-agonists. This is, by far, one of the lamest names that any villain team can come up with. It feels like they looked in the dictionary to find any negative word that had the term «ant» in it. Compared to Spider-Man's most notable villain team, The Sinister Six, it just doesn't have that same punch that
