Another 500 Games Are Now Compatible With the Steam Deck
Since releasing in February, the Steam Deck has been making waves in the mobile gaming market. With Valve now adding support for Nintendo classic controllers, not to mention the system being suitable for Windows, it's proving itself a force to be reckoned with. Of course, what people want to use it for mostly is gaming on the go. As such, the device is compatible with thousands of titles, and this number is going up all the time.
According to a recent report from PCGamesN, the Steam Deck has recently added another 500 games to its increasing roster. Valve likes to ensure that as many releases as possible are compatible with its portable device, with games being considered either «verified» or «playable.» The former means that they should run without issue on the Deck, whereas the latter means that they should run, but users may experience a few issues, such as a drop in frame rates. One of the latest games to be added is Insomniac's Spider-Man.

It was only a few weeks ago that the Steam Deck supported 4,000 games, so things are coming along nicely in terms of having a healthy library for people to play. Prior to release, it was considered to be on par with the likes of the Switch, but it's quickly been established that it's more than just a games console.
