In a rarity, Amazon is going out of its way to tell gamers it’s restocking PlayStation 5 units tomorrow. The e-commerce giant announced the news via a tweet, but it only plans on selling the PS5 Digital Edition, which lacks the Blu-ray disc player.
The restock is scheduled for Wednesday, March 30 at 8 a.m. PST / 11 a.m. EST for US customers. Use the link below when the time arrives:
PlayStation 5 Digital Edition - $399
The retailer adds it’ll be prioritizing the sales to members of Amazon Prime. Last month, the company increased the monthly fee for the perks program from $12.99 to $14.99, while the annual price jumped from $119 to $139. But if you’ve been struggling to snag a PS5, it may be worth it to sign up for Amazon Prime, which offers a 30-day free trial.
Tomorrow’s restock will almost certainly attract plenty of customers, so make sure you try to place your order as soon the sale begins at 8 a.m. PST / 11 a.m. EST.
As for the disc-based PS5, you'll need to keep waiting. “We don't know when the PlayStation 5 disc edition will be back in stock. However, we recommend checking back on the website regularly, as more stock will become available periodically,” Amazon tweeted to a user.
Other retailers including Walmart, Best Buy, and Target have also been selling the PS5. To learn when they restock, we suggest you sign up for an online restock tracking service, which can immediately let you know when PS5 units are back on sale. Check out our guide to learn more.
If you’re looking for an Xbox Series X, we’ve noticed that Walmart had plenty in stock last week at the normal $499 price, although the retailer seems to currently be out of supplies.
