Amazon has no shortage of good deals in its Black Friday Sale Week. Some of the standoud gaming sales include Alan Wake 2's Deluxe Edition (that's two DLCs!) for $49.99, Dragon's Dogma 2 for $40, and the Final Fantasy Anniversary Collection (I-VI) for $55.
Yet another one of its unmissable deals on newer games is on Persona 3 Reload, currently selling for just $25 – that's a $45 price drop. (Atlus's other game from this year, the excellent Metaphor: ReFantazio, is also getting $20 knocked off its price for Black Friday.) It's on sale at Walmart, too, but the deal isn't as good at $40, although Target is price-matching Amazon for the PS5 version only.
This rebooted remake of Atlus's Persona 3, easily the darkest thematically of the Persona games, came out in February and this is by far the lowest price it's sold for since release. When I previewed the game back in January, I was creeped out by the new Tartarus (positive reaction) and delighted by the upgrades made from the original Persona 3, another game I love dearly. Of course, it was even better to experience it as a whole in a full playthrough. Atlus stays not missing!
In IGN's 9/10 review, Michael Higham wrote:
"A stellar visual overhaul and countless small changes and additions beyond it leave a significant impact, making Persona 3 Reload a more fully realized version of a beloved RPG. Although still dated in some respects, quality of life improvements and new features refresh its exciting turn-based combat and add depth to its touching story moments. Through an incredible new voice cast that embodies these unforgettable characters and an endearing soundtrack to reforge its identity, Persona 3 Reload tells a powerful, timeless story of tragedy and hope with sharp emotional sincerity. This is the kind of remake I’ve hoped for, and even after spending 70 hours to see it all the way to its conclusion, I still find it hard to believe it's real."
