Developer Bungie recently held a showcase for Destiny 2. The event gave gamers an idea of what they can expect in the coming days, including a new pirate-themed Season and content for Destiny 2.
One of the biggest announcements was a new expansion for Destiny 2 entitled Lightfall. The expansion will release early next year, giving players of the looter shooter more to chew through when it drops. Those who have not gone through the previous story campaigns will now have their chance to catch up over the next week in order to prepare for Lightfall.

Bungie has announced that all the current expansions for Destiny 2 are available to play for free until August 30. Gamers will be able to play Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, and The Witch Queen along with all of their associated quests and content for no cost. The offer is available for all platforms that the shooter is available on, allowing anyone who owns the game to access the old expansions regardless of what they play on. This is a great opportunity for those who have not been able to experience the older content and want to try it out without having to open their wallets.
Bungie did clarify that not all Destiny 2 content will be available at no cost. The current Season Pass, the Dungeon Key, the Forsaken Content Pack, and the 30th Anniversary Pack still have to be purchased. However, those who are playing Destiny 2 through the Epic Games Store can pick up the 30th Anniversary Pack for free for a limited time.
