Infamous streamer Adin Ross has doubled down on a controversial tweet about genders in a new YouTube video, dismissing hate speech accusations that thousands on social media have been sending his way in recent days. His response to the online backlash arrived shortly after Twitch handed Ross his eighth and final ban over a broadcast incident.
Ross has recently taken to Twitter to proclaim that «there are only two genders» in all caps. The February 26 tweet was viewed over 62 million times within 48 hours of publication, sparking controversy led by accusations of anti-nonbinary hate speech. While that situation was still developing, Ross also spoke out against Twitch via his new streaming platform Kick, arguing that his latest ban would not have been permanent if he was a woman.

The infamous streamer has now also responded to the backlash prompted by his gender-related tweet in a new video posted on YouTube. Over the course of roughly 13 minutes, Ross argued that his statement was an attempt to «cancel cancel culture» and that he's not anti-LGBTQ, adding that he knows and loves «so many gay people.» The 22-year-old even mentioned he wants to get Jeffree Star on stream for a «discussion» on gender while positing that Star shares his binary views in the same breath, making it unclear what exactly would there be to discuss between the two. Regardless, the notion appears to be reminiscent of Ross's plans for a Kanye West stream which he ended up canceling in late 2022.
