Blue Box Studios has confirmed that its upcoming horror survival game, Abandoned, has not been cancelled. The announcement comes after users discovered Blue Box had deleted all previous tweets mentioning future plans for Abandoned.
"Recently we have been bombarded with requests and questions regarding the development status for Abandoned. In regard to the latest rumors regarding Abandoned being cancelled, our response to this is that these rumors are false,” Blue Box wrote on Twitter.

"We are working on the reveal via the Realtime Experience app and online channels along with the Prologue of the game. These were initially planned for Q1 2022 but, unfortunately, we aren't ready yet as we underestimated our development roadmap. Therefore, we have delayed the reveal and the release for Abandoned: Prologue. We will release Abandoned: Prologue when it's stable, good and ready.
"We are aware of your frustration, and we deeply, sincerely apologize for this. We will continue to work on the game, and we will notify you when we are ready."
Just a few days ago, users discovered that Blue Box had deleted the majority of its tweets describing Abandoned's upcoming features. This came after months of promises for a playable demo that have yet to be realized, and a previous promise for an “interactive experience” that turned out to be little more than five-second teaser trailer.
Signs that Abandoned is in trouble continued earlier this week with reports that musicians hired to provide the game's soundtrack haven't received payment for services rendered. The Eyes Inside's vocalist, Chris, recently tweeted he had put "50-60 hours" into a song for Abandoned that Blue Box
