We’ve established in the review of the previous episode that A Couple of Cuckoos intends to deliver a roller coaster ride by alternating its episodes between comedic and dramatic contents. The format is usually two episodes for comedy, and then two episodes for drama. Rinse and repeat.
After a run of dramatic moments in episodes 7 and 8, we were back to the funny stuff in episode 9. So based on the trends thus far, episode 10 should be a rather funny and entertaining episode as well. Let’s see how it goes in this review for the 10th episode of A Couple of Cuckoos.
A Couple of Cuckoos Episode 9 Review — Let Loose
Episode 9 is all about how the main characters finally get their much-needed break. Nagi gets the chance to go on a date with Hiro, Erika spends some quality time with Sachi, and it all ends with the three of them going on a fishing trip with Nagi’s adopted father. All in all, a rather light and wholesome episode.
While still leaning more towards comedy, episode 9 offered some interesting relationship dynamics and a little character development as well. Seeing the main characters spending quality time with people that they rarely hang out with and do the things that they haven’t done in the series before is a really fun thing to watch.
Episode 10 is split into two major parts. The first one is about Nagi and Sachi who try to find the perfect gift for their mom for Mother's Day. This proved to be quite a challenging task because Nagi and Erika never shopped together for this kind of thing before.
