The Ukrainian native first arrived in the United States in 2020 to marry her boyfriend, Jovi Dufren. It has been more than two years that Yara hasn't been able to travel to her home country to be with her family, especially her mother. Until a few months ago, the 27-year-old reality star was excited to take her daughter, Mylah, to Ukraine. Jovi was also looking forward to having his baby girl meet her maternal grandmother. However, Russia's invasion of Ukraine derailed the couple's plans in February 2022.
In the last two months, 90 Day Fiancé viewers have noticed that Yara was stressed and worried about the well-being of her family and friends who were stuck in Ukraine.
