90 Day Fiancé franchise producers have been accused of faking storylines in the past, and with the new season beginning with familiar narratives, viewers are curious to learn more about these allegations. 90 Day Fiancé is well-known for the riotous relationships that are explored, as Americans fall in love with and (usually) marry foreigners. The scripted storyline allegations are nothing new for the TLC franchise. After being on the air for about eight years, fans have noticed the difference between the “average” upheaval that couples experience, and storylines that they believe are scripted.
Now, viewers know that co-stars are paid for their time onscreen, so it’s more believable that producers might coax 90 Day Fiancé franchise stars from time to time. It doesn’t help that 90 Day Fiancé stars have occasionally claimed that production stepped in and changed the directions of scenes. For example, 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days' XimenaMorales claimed that the production crew cajoled her children into telling her then-fiance Mike Berk that they loved him. Additionally, after being uninvited to the Tell-All, co-star Deavan Chegg from 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way claimed the show was scripted, and that the show’s editing put her family “in danger.”
