When it was announced earlier in 2022 that E3 would not be taking place either as a digital or physical event this year, many gamers were left somewhat disappointed. With E3 being one of the biggest showcases of the year, fans wondered where their gaming news and reveals would come from. Following the loss of E3, multiple game companies have come out to say that they will be holding events in June to reveal new titles and shed light on games already in development. Xbox and Bethesda will have a showcase on June 14, for example, and now Capcom is revealing its plans for a similar event.
The Capcom Showcase was first revealed via the gaming company on Twitter. The livestreamed digital event will begin at 3 PM PT on June 13, bringing new information on everything Capcom to fans. The event is planned to last around 35 minutes, which will make it slightly longer than Sony's recent State of Play presentation, but shorter than the planned length of the Xbox and Bethesda showcase, which could run at a whopping 90 minutes. There's also the extended showcase to come after that, giving fans even more in-depth looks.
Capcom Acknowledges Street Fighter 6 Leaks
Capcom is also promising in-depth updates on already announced games, such as Street Fighter 6. Considering that a gameplay trailer was already revealed for Street Fighter 6 at Sony's aforementioned State of Play presentation, fans will likely be hoping for a closer look at that gameplay. Perhaps there could even be a nod to the Street Fighter 6 leaks, which may have already spoiled the lineup for the game's roster at launch.
