Some chips are not accessible until later on in the storyline. This means you should hold on to spare data and wait to make those important purchases. Otherwise, it may be a waste of data if you spend too much on unwanted skills. You can also simply farm extra data so that there is never an outright deficit.
Gap Blinker is one of the possible Shuriken skills. It costs 7,500 data and will use up seven memory slots. Gap Blinker will instantly teleport you to an enemy when they are hit by a shuriken projectile. This makes it much faster and safer than using Gap-Jamming, or if you have another skill that has disabled Gap-Jamming altogether.
This play style allows you to hit and stun a foe from afar, then move in close to utilize a sword attack or other close-range move. It will be less beneficial if you want to stay far away, or concentrate on a different enemy than the one currently stunned.
It will also be an impractical skill choice for large boss encounters, like the fight against the giant Naga.
Adrenaline Injector is one of the two Rootkit skills. It costs 6,500 data and uses four memory. When you defeat an enemy it will restore 40% of your maximum stamina. However, it disables being able to freely Gap-Jam stunned enemies. In many cases, the amount of extra stamina is worth it, especially when facing off against several weaker enemies that might be defeated quickly.
