Now that Stray is officially out, it has become one of the more popular releases this month. Getting to play as a cat that roams a post-apocalyptic city is quite fun for a lot of video game fans. In fact, people who finish the story in Stray might want to move onto something similar.
While there is already demand for a Stray sequel to come from BlueTwelve Studio, it doesn't appear that will happen anytime soon given how fresh this indie title is on the market. Luckily there are some games out that can give players a similar feeling as Stray, while also potentially offering different ways to play and new stories to explore.

Like Stray, Night in the Woods allows players to take on the role of a cat who goes on quite the adventure. There are some big differences between the two games, from their art style to the anthropomorphic nature of characters like Mae. Night in the Woods also has a completely different setting, so Mae and other characters will not be hanging out with some sort of alien race in a cyberpunk city. But if people are looking for something that allows them to play as cute animals, this game will certainly scratch that itch.
While Night in the Woods gives a cute cat more human characteristics, Untitled Goose Game is basically Stray if the main character was a goose whose main purpose was to annoy every single person they run across. That's one of the reasons Untitled Goose Game has gotten as popular as it has over the years, because the point is to act as most people would assume a real goose does in everyday life.
