Square Enix recently published a 42 minute Final Fantasy VII Rebirth “Special Talk Session” on its Square Enix Music YouTube channel. The video features series composer Nobuo Uematsu, writer Kazushige Nojima, and creative director Tetsuya Nomura.
The trio discuss their work on the original Final Fantasy VII, the Remake trilogy, and tons more. It’s a lengthy video with a lot for Final Fantasy diehards to appreciate. Music, naturally, was a prominent topic as well. There was discussion on the process of making the theme song “No Promises to Keep” and we even get a sort of confirmation that Uematsu will return for the third game in the Remake trilogy.
In our review of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, we said, “Final Fantasy VII REBIRTH is a modern RPG masterpiece and solidly sets up its third installment in the Final Fantasy VII Remake Project. It's ambitious and massive in scope — and that's before we even get to the daunting task of recreating one of the most iconic stories of all time.”
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is available now on the PlayStation 5.
