Sonic the Hedgehog 4 to Hit Theatres on May 19, 2027

The fourth movie in the Sonic the Hedgehog series is slated to hit theatres on March 19, 2027. According to a report by Variety, while the movie is still two years away, it is currently the only one slated for release on that day.

The 2027 release window for Sonic the Hedgehog 4 was originally revealed alongside the movie’s announcement back in December.

The announcement came shortly before the release of Sonic the Hedgehog 3. While no details about the movie have been revealed so far, it would be safe to assume that the main cast will once again reprise their respective roles, and that Ben Schwartz will once more take on the role of Sonic.

The previous movie in the franchise had a star-studded cast as well, featuring the movie debut of Shadow the Hedgehog, who was voiced by Keanu Reeves.

The movie also featured Dr. Robotnik, with Jim Carrey coming out of retirement to reprise the role. Earlier this month, Carrey also spoke about reprising the role in the future, saying that he would be open to idea down the line.
