Paramount Pictures has shared the full trailer for the forthcoming musical biographical drama starring pop star Robbie Williams as he portrays himself as a monkey. The film arrives in select theaters on December 25, followed by a wide release on January 17, 2025.
“The film is based on the true story of the meteoric rise, dramatic fall, and remarkable resurgence of British pop superstar Robbie Williams, one of the greatest entertainers of all time,” reads the synopsis. “It is uniquely told from Robbie’s perspective, capturing his signature wit and indomitable spirit. It follows Robbie’s journey from childhood, to being the youngest member of chart-topping boyband Take That, through to his unparalleled achievements as a record-breaking solo artist – all the while confronting the challenges that stratospheric fame and success can bring.”

The video highlights Williams’ childhood and family life before becoming a member of the British boy group Take That, which lasted from 1990-1995. It teases his struggles with fame as he tries to prove to everyone that he can be successful as a solo artist. It also provides viewers with a glimpse of some of the movie’s epic musical sequences.
Better Man is directed by The Greatest Showman filmmaker Michael Gracey, who co-wrote the screenplay with Simon Gleeson and Oliver Cole. The film also stars Jonno Davies, Steve Pemberton, Damon Herriman, Raechelle Banno, Alison Steadman, Kate Mulvaney, Frazer Hadfield, Tom Budge, and Anthony Hayes. It is produced by Paul Currie, Michael Gracey, Coco Xiaolu Ma, Jules Daly, and Craig McMahon.
