There’s growing belief that Rockstar may sell GTA 6’s online multiplayer mode separately from its main single player campaign.
This wouldn’t be unprecedented for the label, as it already flogs standalone versions of GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2’s multiplayer modes.

While the audience for the developer’s single player campaigns is massive, many just want to play online, and by offering a more affordable entry point it’d be able to grow its player base and make money on lucrative microtransactions instead.
There’s also a theory that Rockstar could present the two versions as a more expensive bundle, essentially achieving the $100 price point that’s been touted by industry analysts, although we’re sceptical of the publisher taking that path.
