A fresh update to , the award-winning historical city-builder and strategy hybrid from Hooded Horse and Slavic Magic went live recently. Update 4, also known as 0.8.024, has emerged from its beta phase and is now live, introducing a wealth of new features and improvements that elevate the game’s early-access experience.
Hooded Horse announced the update going live on X and showed off expansive maps and nuanced gameplay changes. This update demonstrates the developers’ commitment to refining and enriching the medieval simulation. Highlights include two new maps—one featuring a massive river that facilitates a new bridge-building mechanic—alongside significant tweaks to resource distribution, quality-of-life updates, and the introduction of the Level 2 Tavern. One of the biggest draws of Update 4 is the addition of two maps, including a sprawling landscape with a large river, which unlocks opportunities for bridge-building.
This long-awaited mechanic adds a layer of strategic depth to city planning, as players must carefully consider the placement and construction of these essential structures.
Resource management has also been overhauled, with the introduction of “overstocking” options for buildings and the consolidation of stall types. These changes aim to streamline logistics while allowing for more strategic decisions regarding the flow of goods.
Other updates include enhancements to the well system, improved workplace distribution mechanics, and new experimental features that promise to shake up established gameplay loops.
