Open-world games have come a long way through the years, and the impact left by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild still lingers, with players given a wide variety of materials to scavenge, regions to explore, and shrines to uncover. However, with a larger map comes a larger chance that parts of the game won't always hold up.
Players have been exploring every nook and cranny that Hyrule has to offer as they attempt to rustle up rare crafting ingredients or find obscurely hidden Koroks. In this instance, Reddit user coolestblue discovered a missing texture while scaling a mountain in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, showing off the strange, wall-like portion of the rocks in a short video clip.

Exploration is one well-loved aspect of many games played from the third-person perspective, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild doesn't disappoint, giving players plenty of ground to cover, even if that ground isn't always 100% there. At first, the video clip from coolestblue shows the player sliding down a normal rocky outcrop on the mountainside, but a moment later they take a sharp turn to reveal the underside of the same outcrop, now rendered completely hollow. Next, they shimmy and jump up to the side of the missing texture, showing off the fact that it blends right back in with the rest of the mountain. Sliding back down so the underside is once again visible, coolestblue gives another look at the paper-thin appearance of the mountain texture, with the middle wide open to the sky.
