Despite launching over five years ago, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is still a very widely-played video game. The Switch title's expansive setting, jam-packed with things to do and discover, along with its robust physics engine, keeps players coming back to the land of Hyrule. However, while The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild certainly stuck the landing in taking the iconic Nintendo franchise into open-world territory, the title isn't without its technical hiccups, as one player facing a Lizalfos found out.
With their first major appearance in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Lizalfos are agile enemies that usually attack by leaping towards Link with a weapon, and then quickly jumping back. Considered one of The Legend of Zelda series' most frustrating enemies, Lizalfos' Breath of the Wild incarnations are particularly infuriating, able to camouflage into surroundings and often imbued with fire, ice, or electrical powers.
Minecraft Modders Bring Breath of the Wild to the Game
The Breath of the Wildglitch in question seems to have given a Lizalfos some extra jumping powers. In a clip posted to the Breath of the Wild subreddit by _Tovar_, the player appears to be somewhere in the Eldin region facing off with a Fire-Breath Lizalfos and an Igneo Pebblit. After striking away the Lizalfos, the player turns toward the enemies' location. The Lizalfos begins quickly approaching Link, before suddenly jumping backwards to its initial position. Link then holds his position, causing the Lizalfos to keep getting close, only to then jump back again, over and over.
The clip of the infinite loop glitch is clearly intriguing other Breath of the Wild players, garnering hundreds of views and likes within a day of posting.
