Director Zack Snyder reacts to Justice League and Army of the Dead getting their respective wins at the 2022 Oscars. Over the last two decades, the annual Academy Award event has seen its fair share of change as the movie world continues to evolve year after year. For the 94th Academy Awards, the organization debuted two social media-led polls for an Oscars Fan Favorite award and an Oscars Cheer Moment. This served as a way to allow movie fans to have a voice in their favorite films being represented at the Oscars.
While critics and industry figures have had their differing opinions on the two polls, Snyder had both of his 2021 films included in the newly added categories. The first one was Zack Snyder's Justice League which was up for the Oscars Cheer Moment. The scene that got nominated is when Barry Allen, played by Ezra Miller, enters the Speed Force as he saves the Justice League through time travel and gave them another chance to stop DeSaad once and for all. For the Oscars Fan Favorite award, Snyder's Netflix original, Army of the Dead, landed as one of the five nominees.
