WhatsApp never seems to be off work! It looks to be always working on something or the other and rolling out new features. And now, WhatsApp is all set to roll out a new update through the Beta Program - version 2.22.4.4. The WhatsApp update is regarding the likelihood that it may redesign the media picker soon. That means it may change how WhatsApp photos, videos, and other media are sent to your contacts. The feature is said to be under development and may be available in future updates to WhatsApp beta for Android users. WABetaInfo shared a screenshot that hints that the WhatsApp update will be all about a complete makeover of the media pickers feature. The new WhatsApp media picker will have two tabs, Recents and Gallery, to make it easier to find the media that you want to share with your contacts or to upload on your status. The Recents tab will show all the recently clicked photos, videos, GIFs from your gallery, while the 'Gallery' tab will show the rest of the other media files from your phone.
Also, WhatsApp users need to note that the redesigned media pickers won't be applicable to share media within a chat, but will be available to share from the option where you take a photo from an in-app camera, WABetaInfo mentioned. Right now, you can click photos with the in-app camera and share them with your contacts or groups or allow you to share them on your Status. But the new media picker will add the two new tabs here to share your media files more conveniently. This will also allow you to pick multiple media files at once.
