Microsoft has said it intends to put as many Activision Blizzard titles on Xbox Game Pass as possible once it has acquired the Call of Duty publisher.
The Xbox firm announced on Tuesday that it intends to acquire Activision Blizzard in an all-cash transaction valued at $68.7 billion.
The deal, which will give Microsoft exclusive ownership of Call of Duty, Warcraft, Overwatch, Crash Bandicoot, Guitar Hero and more, is expected to close in Microsoft’s fiscal year 2023.
“Upon close, we will offer as many Activision Blizzard games as we can within Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass, both new titles and games from Activision Blizzard’s incredible catalog,” Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer said.
“We also announced today that Game Pass now has more than 25 million subscribers. As always, we look forward to continuing to add more value and more great games to Game Pass.
