Xbox owners now have a new way to chat to their friends on PC as Microsoft has announced that Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles now support Discord Voice chat for everyone. The feature was already available for Xbox insiders, but starting today, anyone who links their Xbox and Discord accounts will be able to chat to friends on Discord via voice calls directly from their consoles.
Announced via new blog post on the official Xbox website, users will also be able to see whose in the call whilst playing on their Xbox, adjust the volume of the call, and seemlessly switch between Xbox and Discord chat. If you want access to this feature, you'll need to head on over to the Discord mobile app and link your accounts together, even if you've done so before. Xbox then thanks all of the insiders who helped test the feature out and provided feedback.

If you're a PlayStation user now sat there all jealous that Xbox consoles have a new feature, you'll be happy to know that Discord Voice chat is also reportedly coming to PS5 pretty soon. This is according to industry insider Tom Henderson, who recently wrote in a report that full Discord integration will be added "in the coming months." We haven't heard anything official from Sony or PlayStation just yet, but you'd imagine that Discord on PlayStation won't be too far behind Xbox.
Xbox owners will also be pleased to know that Discord Voice chat isn't the only neat feature expected to be added to consoles in the near future.
