A tsunami of Assassin’s Creed news is set to flood in at the Ubisoft Forward event this week, including a game set in Japan.
Ubisoft has already said that it will officially announce Assassin’s Creed Mirage at the upcoming Ubisoft Forward showcase, but apparently that’s not the only reveal the company has planned.
Rumours claim that not one, not two, not three, but four Assassin’s Creed games will be featured at the showcase. Or at least Mirage plus three completely separate settings for Assassin’s Creed Infinity.
One of these settings is so far only known as Project Red and will finally take the series to Japan, a popular choice amongst fans.
Not much else is known about it, but supposed concept art suggests you’ll play as a samurai and, much like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, will have the option to be male or female.
The third game is Project Hexe, which will be set in 16th century Europe during the witch hunt era. All that’s been said about that is that Ubisoft Montréal, the studio responsible for most of the mainline Assassin’s Creed games, is developing it.
Although Ubisoft has technically announced Assassin’s Creed Infinity already, all that’s known about it is that it’s a live service game and it’s unclear exactly how separate its various components – which will be added to over time – will be.
As for the fourth game, insider Tom Henderson, in an article for Try Hard Guides, claims that a new mobile title set in China, codenamed Project Jade will be revealed, alongside one last piece of DLC for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
