Xbox Game Pass has added three new games today, including one promising day-one release and Diablo 4. The latter is the first Activision Blizzard game to reach Xbox Game Pass since Microsoft acquired the company in late 2023.
The popular subscription service has been going from strength to strength since the turn of the year, having added 13 games in January, followed by 14 more titles in February. With these latest arrivals, the total number of March 2024 additions to Xbox Game Pass is also rising up to 14.
The platform's latest trio of releases comprises Diablo 4, Open Roads, and Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged. Activision Blizzard's action RPG requires no special introduction, as Diablo 4 has been breaking records since its June 2023 launch, and has generally been a highly anticipated addition to Microsoft's subscription service. The only catch with this release is that its Xbox Game Pass version is currently limited to PC and Xbox consoles. Microsoft has yet to clarify when it plans to make Diablo 4 available via Xbox Cloud Gaming for its Ultimate-tier members.
Subscribers who aren't in the mood for demon hunting can instead turn to Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged for some just as hectic but much more age-accessible fun. Developed by Italian studio Milestone, this arcade racer released to positive buzz in October 2023, with its Metacritic Metascores ranging from 75 for its Switch version to 79 for the Xbox Series X/S one.
The final March 28 addition to Xbox Game Pass is Open Roads, an interactive road trip mystery starring Keri Russell (Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker, The Americans) and Kaitlyn Dever (Uncharted 4, Booksmart). This narrative-driven first-person puzzler also happens to be the third day-one release to reach Microsoft's content catalog since the turn of the month, after Lightyear Frontier and MLB The Show 24 did the same on March 19.
These arrivals cap off another strong month for the popular subscription service, which has averaged one new game
