Following poor critical reception from WWE 2K20 and the cancellation of the 2021 entry, 2K Games' WWE franchise is finally set to return with the release of WWE 2K22, just over a month away. 2K has slowly started to reveal the roster of the upcoming wrestling game and has revealed several other details about the game in recent weeks, confirming playable General Managers alongside significant changes to the game's GM mode. Developers 2K Games and Visual Concepts previously stated that the newest entry will run on a completely re-built engine and the newest teaser screenshot shows off the Macho Man himself, Randy Savage.
