Despite launching with an already massive roster of 168 current and former WWE superstars, WWE and 2K Games have not been shy in showing how much bigger WWE 2K22's roster will become thanks to its post-launch DLC packs. Players already know they can get their hands on five upcoming packs adding another five to seven wrestlers each, kicking off with the Banzai Pack on April 26. As the pack's name implies, the centerpiece of this pack will be the late, great Yokozuna, and 2K Games has given players a first proper look at how the '90s wrestling star will appear in-game.
WWE 2K22 is the ninth game from 2K Games as part of its long-running partnership with WWE and the first title since the much-maligned WWE 2K20. As mentioned above, the game featured the largest playable roster at launch for any WWE game in history, featuring an all-star roster of legends, current stars, and even some who now find themselves in AEW, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and other companies. It also saw the return of a general manager mode with MyGM, joining the career mode renamed MyRISE and the 2K Showcase options.

Ahead of the Banzai Pack's release, 2K Games gave a proper look at Yokozuna in-game with a screenshot on the game's official Twitter. The image features the Samoan wrestling icon wearing his famous checkered kimono he wore for Wrestlemania 9, where he defeated hall of famer Bret Hart for the WWE Championship before quickly being beaten by Hulk Hogan.
