World of Warcraft is bringing back the Winds of Wisdom experience boost in preparation for Dragonflight. This experience bonus is back by popular demand after last coming to World of Warcraft in preparation for Shadowlands Season 4.
The Winds of Wisdom experience boost will be available in retail World of Warcraft starting with the weekly reset on October 4. For the duration of the buff, all players will receive 50% more experience from all sources.
World of Warcraft: Dragonflight Release Date Revealed
The experience buff will last until the Dragonflight Pre-Patch begins, meaning players will not be able to benefit from the Winds of Wisdom when they create their new dracthyr Evoker characters. While World of Warcraft has not released a solid date for when the Pre-Patch begins, a credible Blizzard leak placed it on October 25. This date would be in line with World of Warcraft’s historical release schedules, and would give players roughly three weeks to benefit from the Winds of Wisdom buff.
Dragonflight itself just received a November 28 release date, with the Vault of the Incarnates raid opening two weeks later on December 13. Provided the expansion is not delayed, players will have three weeks of powerleveling with the Winds of Wisdom, followed by a month of pre-patch until Dragonflight launches. All the while, the Dragonflight beta is ongoing, with more parts of the expansion being added to the Public Test Realm with each build.
