Blizzard Entertainment has announced that release date of The Eternity’s End, the latest update for World of Warcraft's Shadowlands expansion. It’s been a few months since Blizzard announced the WoW: Shadowlands — The Eternity’s End update in November 2021, and a lot has happened to the company since then. Just last month, it was announced that Microsoft is purchasing Activision Blizzard. If the acquisition pushes through, World of Warcraft and many other Activision Blizzard games will be owned by Microsoft.
While Activision Blizzard’s acquisition by Microsoft is still a long way from becoming finalized, World of Warcraft players have quite a bit to look forward to in the near future when Shadowland’s The Eternity’s End patch releases. As the final major story content update for Shadowlands, The Eternity’s End will conclude the expansion’s ongoing storyline and will see players finally face off against the corrupted prince Anduin Wrynn as well as The Jailer himself.
