World of Warcraft has finally revealed the release date for Dragonflight. Players can take to the skies and explore what the new World of Warcraft expansion has to offer on November 28th, 2022.
Dragonflight takes World of Warcraft players to the storied Dragon Isles–the ancestral homeland of dragonkind. World of Warcraft’s ninth expansion pack includes five new zones, 10 new levels, and a new race-class combo: the dracthyr Evoker. The exploration-based expansion adds tons of new content and systems, including revamped talent trees and the dynamic Dragonriding flying mounts.
World of Warcraft: Cosmetic Renown Unlocks Will Be Account Wide in Dragonflight
With this announcement, it seems Blizzard is committed to making its 2022 release with World of Warcraft: Dragonflight. The November 28th release date coincides with a Blizzard leak, which stated the pre-patch and launch dates for several games, including Wrath of the Lich King Classic and Dragonflight. If the rest of the leak is correct, players can expect the Dragonflight Pre-Patch to begin on October 25th. With a month before release, this pre-patch period would be in line with typical World of Warcraft releases.
The World of Warcraft: Dragonflight beta is currently ongoing, and will likely continue until closer to the expansion’s launch. As it nears, more of Dragonflight’s content will make its way to the Public Test Realm, giving players the chance to experience its content early. Additionally, World of Warcraft announced the Winds of Wisdom experience buff would be returning on October 4th, and running until the Dragonflight Pre-Patch. Players can expect this 50% experience boost to be available for approximately three weeks.
