Indie developer Two Star Games is almost ready to unleash its new frightening horror game. Choo-Choo Charles is an open-world horror game which puts a terrifying twist on trains — and it’s been given a release date. The game is slated for a launch in December, so there’s not too long to wait until this unique title can be played.
Choo-Choo Charles is a game all about locomotives. You build and upgrade your very own train by using Scraps that are found in the open world. These upgrades include armor and weapons to equip your locomotive for combat. But why would a train need to be weaponized? Well, that’s because Charles could be waiting around every corner.
Charles is a sentient train and you may agree is one of the most frightening bosses in game history. This train has grown giant spider legs and a face not even a mother could love. He is also overcome with a desire to destroy you at whatever the cost. If you are caught by Charles either exploring on foot or while switching the track’s direction, don’t expect to survive.
When Choo-Choo Charles‘ release date comes around it won’t just be another horror game. The open-world aspect of Choo-Choo Charles is fundamental to its gameplay with NPC quests and hidden loot. Defeating Charles might be the final goal, but you’ll have plenty to do while working towards that.
Open-world horror games aren’t unheard of by any means, but few can claim to have quite the character as Choo-Choo Charles. Despite being made by a relatively small indie developer its initial reception has been incredible. Its release date trailer has over 700,000 views with the comments being overwhelmingly positive.
