World of Warcraft is rolling out its alpha testing in preparation for Dragonflight’s launch before the end of the year. However, some content in a new Dragonflight alpha dungeon might give some hints as to the big bad of the World of Warcraft expansion. Warning: Spoilers for World of Warcraft: Dragonflight below.
The second week of alpha testing for Dragonflight began recently, which gave players access to two dungeons, Neltharus and Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr. The latter of these two takes place in a secret wing of the Uldaman dungeon from Classic WoW.
World of Warcraft: There Might Be a Timeskip Between Shadowlands and Dragonflight
During the dungeon, players encounter forces belonging to the Infinite dragonflight, a rogue faction of former bronze dragons who seek to change history. The end boss, Chrono-Lord Delos, is one of these renegade dragons who seeks to stop players from claiming a powerful artifact that can restore the power of the Dragon Aspects in World of Warcraft. After he is defeated, Delos delivers a cryptic line foretelling the fall of the Aspects, save one: Murozond, Lord of the Infinite.
World of Warcraft fans who played during Cataclysmmay recognize Murozond as the leader of the Infinite dragonflight. During the End Times dungeon, it was revealed that Murozond was none other than a future version of Nozdormu, Aspect of the time-walking bronze dragons. Though Murozond was ultimately defeated in that future timeline, it seems he may have a major role to play in the expansion, though the exact scope of which is uncertain.
