Wordle Has Two Different Answers Today And We Are One Step Closer To Armageddon
Today’s Wordle might have two different answers, depending on whether or not you’ve refreshed the site lately. It seems that new Wordle overlords The New York Times have shifted a few words around recently and this has caused a slight disconnect in whichever word Wordle presents for March 30, 2022.
Just so we’re clear, we’re heading into spoiler territory starting now. If you want to come at Wordle 284 clean, stop reading, perform a hard refresh of the site, and then continue playing. Those that continue reading will be spoiled for today’s word after this paragraph. You have been warned.

Alright, now that we’re all on the same page, most of you probably received the word “stove” as today’s word, but some of you Wordle nuts might have received the word “harry.” This disconnect is starting to become more widely known on Twitter even though it became immediately apparent between my personal playgroup when they revealed their word and it wasn’t the same as mine (I got “harry,” in case you were wondering).
So what gives? It turns out that the New York Times has shifted some of the words in the 2,309-word answer queue, moving some to the back of the line while others get bumped closer to the front. This comes courtesy of the Wordle subreddit, your one-stop-shop for everything having to do with this relatively simple word game.
If you’re refreshing the Wordle site regularly, you’ll get “stove” as the answer to Wordle 284. But if you’ve just left a tab open on your phone’s browser for the past month or so, the re-ordering of words never got to you, and you’ll have “harry” as the answer for Wordle 284.
