A new Wordle clone has just hit the internet, and this one uses screenshots to test your knowledge of video games. Wordle and its many clones are web-based puzzle games featuring all kinds of different trivia challenges and are usually available for free.
After its public release in October of last year, Wordle quickly exploded in popularity. It became so popular, in fact, that The New York Times purchased the rights to the game from solo developer Josh Wardle for a six-figure sum. Even now, new Wordle clones are coming out all the time. In just the past month, there has been Marvle, which tests how well players know the famous Marvel characters, and even Survivle, where players try to avoid guessing a common correct word. Most recently, Framed created a challenge for film buffs by asking them to name movies based on individual frames.

Now the world of video games finally has its own Wordle in the form of High Score Day. The newly-released guessing game is free to play in any browser and puts players' video game recognition skills to the test. Similar to Framed, High Score Day shows the player five random screenshots of different games and gives them a search bar to find the correct titles of each game in its database. It's trickier than it sounds, though — there are plenty of games in the database, and some entries can even be the same title on a different platform. Players only get one attempt for each screenshot, so knowing the accurate name of the game (and which version of it is shown) is key.
