One of the most highlighted features of the latest iOS 16 is the addition of a customizable lock screen on an iPhone. The latest feature makes the lock screen of all the iOS 16-supported iPhones more customizable in addition to displaying information-rich widgets. That means, all the iPhone 14, iPhone 13, iPhone 12, iPhone 11, and iPhone SE users will be able to make the lock screen personalized while adding wallpaper, customizing the colours and fonts, layering photos in front of clock, and much more. In addition to these, you can even add widgets with information that you need from your lock screens such as weather updates, calendar events, top headlines, and more. To customize your iPhone lock screen, you will need to touch and hold the Lock Screen until the Customize button appears at the button of the screen and then tap on the add new button at the bottom of the screen.
This will show the Lock Screen wallpaper gallery and then select one of the wallpaper options to select it as your Lock Screen.
Apple says that for some wallpaper choices, you can even swipe left or right to change the colour filters, patterns, and fonts that complement each other.
Apart from this, you can even customize a photo on the Lock Screen, see Add a photo to your Lock Screen. To do so, just tap choose whether to use the wallpaper on both the Lock Screen and Home Screen.
