Disappointing news for fans of The Witcher 3: the game's next-gen upgrade has been delayed, with no estimated timeframe offered by developer CD Projekt Red. The next-gen upgrade of The Witcher 3 was delayed from late 2021 to sometime this year, with many believing it would come not long after the long-awaited Cyberpunk 2077 next-gen update. CD Projekt Red noted that it was still "evaluating the scope" of what needed to be done, which was cited as the reason for not providing a more concrete release date. It is not clear if they are starting from scratch or picking up from where Saber Interactive left off, nor was any reason given for CD Projekt Red taking over development from Saber
