Portkey Games already confirmed that HogwartsLegacy will be released on all the mainstream gaming systems (even later generation consoles), but what's still less readily known is what PC platforms the game will be sold on. Steam and the Epic Games Store are the two big digital download stores in the PC world, so there's no doubt that on Hogwarts Legacy's reported release date, it's going to be available in one of these two places, if not both. Furthermore, the latest information indicates that the game will at least be through one of the two stores.
The questions surrounding Hogwarts Legacy's PC edition and its release platforms haven't been the only mysterious aspects of the game. Indeed, for some time now the official release date has been a big question too, as the game received a postponed date in early 2021. That came as little surprise, as many studios decided it would be best to push production back due to the work complications caused by the pandemic. Regardless, it's caused some to question whether Hogwarts Legacy will even be released in 2022, although most signs remain positive (at least so far). As more confirmed information comes out that details the game's specifics, the question remains which PC platform it will be sold on — or if any period of exclusivity will come into play.
