Paramount+'s Halo series has received some high to middle-of-the-road praise, even with the biggest controversy being that Master Chief aka John-117, played by Pablo Schreiber, removing his helmet, in the latest episode the Chief reveals so much more.
For context, the Chief has to inspect an object jammed at the base of his spine. Since he's Master Chief, he plans to perform the surgery to remove it himself. While the adaptation is noncanonical, it is still a very big deviation from what fans have gotten from the Halo series and were ready with their reactions.
What the halo TV series gets wrong is that you aren’t supposed to see master chief’s juicy ass. This is basic storytelling.
Gamers: Don't show me Master Chief's face Paramount: K here's his chiseled ass
Can't believe we saw Sierra 117 savior of earth petty officer master chief's ass
In the same episode, we are introduced to John's holographic partner, Cortana (voiced by Jen Taylor), who is reprising her role from the Halo game series; However, their relationship goes in a different direction this time around. It's uncertain if the series will repeat such risque situations, but with Halo getting a second season, there's room for more if they want to. They've already stuffed plenty of Easter eggs in the series already.
Halo the series airs new episodes Thursdays on Paramount+.
