Kelley Wolf cut her time short on The Real World Homecoming: New Orleans, telling her roommates that she felt uncomfortable in the house, but fans later learned the real reason she left. The Real World: New Orleans first aired in 1992 and along with Kelley, followed the lives of Jamie Murray, Matt Smith, Melissa Howard, Danny Roberts, Julie Stoffer, and David Broom, who goes by Tokyo now. The Real World: New Orleans cast members became one of the most talked-about people from The Real World franchise. Danny, who was out as a gay man, had a relationship on the show with a man in the military during the “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” policy. Julie was also a very polarizing cast member due to having a Mormon background but wanting to explore life beyond her religion.
The Real World Homecoming revisited these issues, which brought back a lot of uncomfortable memories for the cast. Kelley Wolf, who was closest to Danny, had the hardest time opening up to the rest of her roommates, and toward the end of the season, she decided to leave early.
