The bosses in any FromSoftware title are easily the hardest obstacles of the games, as well as the largest draws to the majority of long-time fans of the developer. This has continued to be the case for Elden Ring, although one of the first major bosses in the game has become a major obstacle, with some fans grinding to absurd levels before facing the early FromSoftware boss.
According to both the Steam Achievments and PlayStation Trophies, a surprising number of players still haven't managed to take down Margit the Fell Omen, the first boss that opens up the initial major dungeon in Elden Ring. However, there may be more to the truth behind players not being able to get through Stormveil Castle, and its first boss Margit.

At the time of this writing, the number of players who have beaten the early boss Margit is currently hanging around two-thirds of players, according to Elden Ring's Trophy and Achievement statistics. This means that nearly a third of the players who have purchased the game and logged in long enough to be registered among the player base either haven't reached the boss, or haven't been able to beat him. Even with online strategy guides and other players their to help them, a large portion of early players haven't been able to crack this one boss over the last several weeks the game has been available.
The boss itself is one of the comparatively harder in FromSoftware's history, especially when it comes to such an early section of the game, standing on similar ground as the High Wall of Lothric from Dark Souls 3 or Central Yharnam in Bloodborne.
