Warning: Spoilers for Vikings: Valhalla season 1.
The finale of Vikings: Valhalla season 1 left viewers with the image of Freydis Eiríksdóttir (Frida Gustavsson) and Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Suter) departing from Kattegat, begging the question of where they're going. Vikings: Valhalla features a brand new set of Norse heroes, based on real Vikings warriors, jarls, and kings. Alongside Leif Eriksson (Sam Corlett), the aforementioned Freydis and Harald now feature as the show's primary protagonists.
After the final episode in Vikings: Valhalla season 1 saw Kattegat fall to Jarl Olaf Haraldsson (Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson), Freydis and a badly injured Harald decided to cut their losses, leaving the port town and heading away from the besieged Viking stronghold. Their departure resulted in them only just missing the quick end to Olaf's reign as ruler of Kattegat, with King Sweyn Forkbeard (Søren Pilmark) arriving en masse with the Danish fleet to reclaim the town as punishment for Olaf's betrayal. It seems likely that Harald and Freydis' decision to leave at the ending of Vikings: Valhalla season 1 will be a major plot point of season 2, although it is not yet clear where their destination lies.
