Hence, cyber security experts have warned WhatsApp users to make sure that they use the best possible security settings provided in the app. Failing to do so, can make you a prime target. Yes, we are not saying take any extra security measures, the solution lies within WhatsApp itself. All you have to do is switch it on.
One of the most important settings you should make sure to activate is the two-step verification. This way, the chances of getting swindled or falling prey to cyber attacks can be reduced manifold.ow. Know what you should do.
First of all, open WhatsApp Settings.
Then tap Account and go to the Two-step verification option.
Now Enable it and enter a six-digit PIN of your choice and confirm it.
You will need to provide an email address you can access or tap Skip if you don’t want to add an email address. Then, tap Next.
Finally, confirm the email address and tap Save or Done.
This will work as a guard which will block hackers from getting access to your account.
