Meta-owned social media messenger app WhatsApp is the most used platform across the globe. It is used by billions of people worldwide. It allows a user to send and receive a message, share media, voice notes and now payments as well by using an active internet connection to exchange messages. The platform is secured with end-to-end encryption by default.
The platform keeps upgrading its features to make it more useful for users and one such feature is WhatsApp group where users can add as many as 257 participants. However, adding or removing group participants is limited to group admin only. Here’s how you can add or remove participants in WhatsApp Group if you’re a group administrator.
Step 1: Open WhatsApp on your phone and go to any created group.
Step 2: Next, click on group subject or the three dots in the top corner
Step 3: Go to the Group info and click on the tab that reads, “Add participant”.
Step 4: Search for a contact or select a contact from your WhatsApp contact list that you want to add to the group.
Step 5: Next, tick the green check mark .
Step 6: Click ‘Add Participants’. And it’s done. The contact will be added to the particular
WhatsApp group. They will be able to send or receive messages in WhatsApp group.
Step 1: Open any WhatsApp group chat from where you want to remove participants.
Step 2: Click the group subject or the three dot menu available in the top corner.
Step 3: Next, click on Group info.
Step 4: Select the participant you want to remove
Step 5: Now, tap on Menu and click Remove
Step 6: Confirm and that’s it. The participant will be removed from the group. They will no longer be able to send or receive messages in the group.
