Taylor Armstrong of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was always putting on a brave face leaving fans to ask questions about her late husband, Russell Armstrong. The former RHOBH star is well-known for her daughter Kennedy Armstrong's over-the-top birthday bashes and the infamous cat meme. Now years after their family tragedy, Taylor has clearly moved on.
The mother of one exited after RHOBH season 3 but did pop back in as a guest of the ladies every so often. Taylor's personal life with Russell was her main storyline and was always being questioned. As Bravo viewers saw, Taylor and her late husband, Russell, did not get along, as he was extremely controlling and abusive. While Taylor tried to put on a brave face for her daughter and viewers, fans could see some major issues were going on in their relationship.

When RHOBH season 2 premiered, Taylor shared that her husband Russell had sadly taken his own life. During the season, Taylor also shared that her late husband had physically abused her. As RHOBH viewers learned, the venture capitalist, and executive, was plagued by not only personal issues but financial and legal troubles as well. When it came to tax issues, Russell was in deep and was finding it difficult to fix the issues. He was first charged with tax evasion in 1995 and put on five-year probation by the IRS (via E! News).
However, that was not Russell's first run-in with the law. In 1997, Russell was arrested in West Hollywood on a misdemeanor spousal battery over an alleged altercation with his first ex-wife, Barbara Ann Armstrong. The couple got into another altercation a year later, which ultimately led to their divorce.
