Nintendo and Game Freak have dropped a new trailer for the highly-anticipated Pokemon Scarlet andViolet, this year's entry in the long-running mainline Pokemon series. Before last week, fans had to mine every millisecond of the game's reveal trailer to learn more about Pokemon Scarlet andViolet's region, monsters, and protagonists. With this new trailer, however, the information is a lot more obvious, with two new professors being detailed, the three new starters getting a closer look, and a few new Pokemon having their moment in the spotlight.

After the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trailer went live, Game Freak added some more information to the game's official website. Along with information on the game's new characters and new open-world mechanics, the website now has an entire section dedicated to the new Pokemon revealed in the latest trailer, with each one receiving a brief Pokedex-like entry, detailing some stats, and some interesting tidbits about their personality and moveset. While the details provided in these Pokedex entries are likely to change a little before Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's final release, these descriptions do give a good introduction to the Pokemon fans will soon meet.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: All the Version Exclusive Content Confirmed So Far

Sprigatito is this game's Grass-type Pokemon. Taking on the appearance of an adorable cat, Sprigatito is just 1'4" in height, and weighs only 9lbs, according to the current Pokedex entry. Being a Grass-type starter, Sprigatito shares the same Overgrow Ability that all Grass-type starters have had since Gen 3.

Despite its cute demeanor, Sprigatito is apparently quite an attention-seeking Pokemon, who is often seen to become agitated when its trainer spends
